Returns and Refunds Policy

At PartsHIRE (Wartens Ltd), we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This Returns and Refunds Policy outlines your rights under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015, as well as our procedures for returning products and receiving refunds.

2. 14-Day Cooling-Off Period

If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days from the date you receive the goods, without giving any reason. This is your statutory right under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.

Cancellation deadline: 14 days from the day after you (or someone you nominate) receives the goods.

3. Return Conditions

To be eligible for a return, the following conditions must be met:

  • Products must not have been installed, modified, or damaged by the customer.
  • All original accessories, manuals, and documentation must be included.
  • You must provide proof of purchase (order number or receipt).

If the goods show signs of use beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics, and functioning, we may reduce the refund to reflect any diminished value.

4. How to Return Products

  2. Receive authorisation: We will provide you with a returns authorisation number and return instructions.
  3. Pack securely: Repackage the product securely in its original packaging. Write the returns authorisation number on the outside of the package.
  4. Ship the return: Send the package to the address provided. We recommend using a tracked delivery service and retaining proof of postage.

5. Return Shipping Costs

  • Change of mind: You are responsible for the cost of returning the products.
  • Faulty or incorrect products: We will cover the return shipping costs. Please contact us before returning faulty items so we can arrange collection or provide a prepaid return label.

6. Refund Timeline

Once we receive and inspect your returned goods:

  • We will notify you by email whether the return has been accepted or rejected.
  • If accepted, your refund will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
  • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
  • Please allow an additional 5-10 business days for the refund to appear on your bank or card statement, depending on your payment provider.
  • The original delivery charge will be refunded only if the entire order is returned or if the return is due to our error.

7. Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned under the cooling-off period:

  • Products that have been custom-made or personalised to your specifications.
  • Products that have been installed or used beyond reasonable inspection.
  • Sealed products that have been unsealed after delivery where unsealing renders them unsaleable for health or hygiene reasons.
  • Products that have been mixed inseparably with other items after delivery.

8. Faulty or Defective Goods

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, you have the following rights if products are faulty, not as described, or not fit for purpose:

Within 30 days of delivery

You are entitled to a full refund. This is your short-term right to reject faulty goods.

After 30 days but within 6 months

We will attempt to repair or replace the product. If repair or replacement is not possible or unsuccessful, you are entitled to a full refund.

After 6 months

You must prove the fault was present at the time of delivery. If proven, we will offer repair, replacement, or a partial refund.

9. Exchanges

We do not currently offer direct exchanges. If you would like a different product, please return the original item for a refund and place a new order.

10. Goods Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damage and packaging. We will arrange a replacement or full refund, including any delivery charges, at no cost to you.
